Toasted Café serves up delectable breakfast and lunch options while fulfilling the American dream.
Situated near the corner of Atlantic Boulevard and State Road 7, Toasted Café continues to be a beloved local gem under the new ownership of Pantelis Palavidis. A recent immigrant from Greece, Pantelis is living the American dream, bringing his passion for food and hospitality to the heart of this family-friendly eatery.
Since taking over from his friend and mentor Ninos Kikeris, he has continued the tradition of blending Greek culinary influences with classic American breakfast and lunch offerings, creating a delightful dining experience for all who visit.
"I arrived six years ago with absolutely nothing. I then landed a job at Dandee Donuts and would ride my bicycle to work every morning at 4 am. Today, I own a restaurant, a house and two cars. My lovely wife Evangelina works as a registered nurse. We are truly blessed."
Toasted Café's breakfast menu is a standout — fluffy pancakes, French toast, golden waffles, fried eggs and corned beef hash. A highlight is the "build your own omelet" section, letting guests craft their own masterpiece from a plethora of meats and vegetables.
"Our Greek omelet with gyro meat is very popular," says Pantelis. "We also have a great country breakfast with biscuits and homemade gravy, as well as eggs any style with hash browns and your choice of bacon, sausage, ham, pork chop, steak or hamburger patty."
Lunchtime brings juicy burgers, crispy chicken wings, fried shrimp, New York strip steak and fresh salads — plus Greek-inspired dishes that add a unique twist. The gyro platter features succulent seasoned meat with warm pita, tzatziki and a refreshing Greek salad. Other favorites include the Philly cheesesteak, fish filet sandwich and tuna melt.
"For our club sandwich, the turkey is baked in house and sliced to order," Pantelis says. "We also have daily Chef's specials such as chicken swiss panini, veggie and pork quesadillas, country skillets, buffalo chicken tenders and outstanding homemade soups — including lentil, Mediterranean bean, split pea, Italian wedding, and the famous avgolemono Greek lemon chicken soup."
Most large entrées are priced around $12 while breakfast platters start at $7.75. There is ample free parking and a superb catering service for events of all sizes.
In a world where fast food often dominates, Toasted Café stands out as a place where meals are made with love, and customers are treated like family. Whether you're stopping by for a hearty breakfast, a leisurely lunch, or just a cup of coffee and a chat, Toasted Café promises to deliver a memorable and satisfying experience. Enjoy!
